16th Feb 2007: Germany / Titisee / Cuckoo Clock Villages in the Black Forest Resort

The Titisee lake is a kind of natural reservoir, whose water is dammed up by glacial moraines. It is two kilometres long and 700 metres wide and with that it is the largest natural lake in the Black Forest. It was presumably named after the Roman emperor Titus. The Cuckoo Clock is made in the winter time using soft wood found in the Black Forest.

16th Feb 2007: Switzerland / Schaffhausen / Rhine falls 瑞士/沙夫豪森州/莱茵瀑布

16th Feburary 2007. Rhine falls, Europe’s largest waterfall. They are truly magnificent, not so much for their height (a mere 23m) as for their impressive breadth (150m) and the sheer drama of the place, with the spray rising in a cloud of rainbows above the forested banks.

15th Feb 2007: Switzerland / Zurich 瑞士/苏黎士

15~16th Feburary 2007. The journey to Europe starts from Singapore to Doha, where we will transit to Zurich. Meals were generally good but the flight was long.
